Company of the Fading Star
A downloadable game
In this 100+ page adventure, campaign setting, and optional rules for Mörk Borg, players take on the role of a member of a doomed and fallen knighthood on the outskirts of the ruined city of Ashenford.
Their commander has one last mission for them that just might save - or destroy - this dying world.
Inside, in lavishly illustrated and colorful spreads, GMs will find everything needed to run the core adventure, as well as suggestions for future games, side adventures and more, including the main destination of the adventure mapped out and keyed - the Abbey of the Blackened Orb.
Optional character creation, combat, leveling up, and stress/trauma rules are included for those who want to set the game to "hard mode."
Updates including overland maps, Company of the Fading Star quest tables for extending the game, and more will be added, but will increase the base price of this game. Those who purchase now will have access to all future updates that are added.

It’s pretty cool. I dig it.
What an amazing supplement, will definitely run this! My only note would be that the names all leaning on cardinal directions become a bit confusing at some point;
In relation to the city, it makes sense, but a rough graph of the city's layout would also have been helpful :)
Ran part one last night and my group had a great time, would love a black and white version of the map for printing.
hi! Couldn’t you just print the map that’s available in black and white?
really glad to hear you all had fun please let me know how the rest goes!
Love the campaign setting! I'm going to use it to run through a group and I'll be happy to report back. I have a question about the Challender of Nechrubel. Do you recommend using it and if so which dice frequency?
for this particular campaign ( I ran this for a changing group of players over about 6 months and maybe 12-15 sessions), I didn’t use it as I considered it long prior to the events in the main mork borg “canon.”
Esta en castellano¿?
This looks and sounds amazing :-) Will you be doing a KS or putting it on Drivethrurpg POD?
Thanks again.
it comes with all necessary files to easily print and staple your own copy. I’m not sure I have enough of a following for a Kickstarter or enough know how for POD/drivethru!
I understand :-) I was curious. I know several KS have done this with a "low" following and done well just done it by PDF with POD via Drivethrurpg and the user is to pay for the POD cost :-) funny enough I just backed one of these yesterday myself.
I’ll have to look into that - I’m sort of a bit internet illiterate, but maybe I can figure all that out!
No harm in looking plus DrivegthruRPG has a massive amount of people on it all the time and easy to look for things. I personally check often to see if any new stuff has come up on there. Even if its just for PDFs more likely to get more eyes on things you have as well :-) I am following anyway
Is the PDF in single page or spread format?
it’s spreads
Bummer.
Are you able to add a single page format?
Wonderful stuff, really. Would you consider adding an artfree PDF file for ease of printing? Looking forward to trying this at the table, this is more my jam than vanilla Mork Borg.
thanks a lot!
yeah I’m working on a easy print version as we speak to add here along with map and character sheets. I’ll get into high gear.
Hehe, no rush, thank you so much!
Purchased this a few days ago. Maps would be great to go with this! :)
I love this! It's is a really good mix of almost hexcrawl (no hex map) and story driven adventure module with a unique and thought of central figure. It's well polished and well written. I love the hooks for how each of the factions might interact with the PCs, the easily readable text and layout, and the really well put together art. I'd love to see a map of how you imagine the region looks, but in reading this I can build my own in my head. It channels a feeling of almost end of days in the GW Empire, with it's less than stellar cast of knights and fallen officials and its struggling lower class. I dropped a lot more on modules that I got a lot less enjoyment out of and at this point I've only read through it. The suggestions for house rules are easily adoptable and straightforward. If you're on the fence, forget the fence. Take a leap. I can't wait to run this.
thank you so much for this wonderful comment! I’ve hired an artist to an overland map of the region and will likely out some bonus encounter tables on it. I’ll also be doing Company character sheets as well, all of which will be added free for those who’ve purchased!
I purchased this a few days ago and agree with Booger Goblin. This is one of the most interesting "adventures" I have seen for Mörk Borg! Maps and character sheets would be a great addition. :)
uploading map right now
